Loida Garcia-Febo, MLS, is a Puerto Rican American international library consultant worldwide known for her passion about library services and diversity, communities, sustainability, innovation and digital transformation, library workers, library advocacy, wellness, and new librarians about which she has taught in 46 countries. She serves as San José State University School of Information’s Health and Wellness Ambassador. Garcia-Febo was president of the American Library Association (2018-2019) and currently serves as an IFLA Governing Board member. She received the 2015 REFORMA Life Time Achievement Award, and the 2024 ALA Medal of Excellence.
