Mehmet Laçinkaya, with a background in Information Management from Hacettepe University, developed
expertise in web design, programming, and IT. Early in his career, he focused on cataloging, indexing,
authority files, and RDA standards at the General Directorate of Libraries and Publications (GDLP). Currently,
he serves as the Head of the Information Systems Department, overseeing the information systems
infrastructure for both the Turkiye National Library and all public libraries across Türkiye. His role involves
managing the development of 14 software applications for the GDLP, network system administration, AI-based
solutions, IP telephony systems, and various hardware and infrastructure projects.
