Myra has served as a teacher educator for over 15 years in both Singapore and the UAE. She is the Assistant Dean for Research & Graduate Studies for the College of Education, UAE University. She was a Research Fellow at the International Youth Library in Munich (2016-2017) and was Chair of the Programme Committee for the Asian Festival of Children’s Content held annually in Singapore (2011-2019). She is a quintessential nerd who lives and breathes books which she shares through her website, GatheringBooks.org. Myra enjoys organizing events and festivals where fellow nerds converge and attempt to joyfully change the world.
